When it comes to posting projects as a professional, the process is pretty similar to the one explained in detail in “Information for Customers: Step 2”. The second portion of the guide will give you an in-depth explanation of how project posting works on the Geolance platform.
As a professional or a company, you will be mainly acting as the service provider, using Geolance’s professional search platform to look for projects and jobs within your relevant field. You can do this by clicking on “Project Search” on the menu on the left-hand side. Fill out the field with relevant keywords and filter options to see what projects are available for you to apply for.
Once you’ve made your search, multiple projects will show up that you can apply for.
1. We suggest that you first check the project’s details to see whether it’s something you can do and whether you want to apply for multiple milestones (if more than one).
2. If yes, click on “Apply” to open a prompt where you can make an offer. You can add a description for your offer, give a quote based on the budget the customer has set, choose the length of time it will take you to complete the task and then click “Send”.
a. For projects with multiple milestones, you can apply for that as well.
You can then check the status of your application in the “Offers” and “Projects” tabs. You will receive notifications when the client accepts the offer and makes the payment. The offer you make is a bid. There will be other professionals who might apply for the project. It’s up to the customer to pick a professional that meets all their expectations.
You can also get invited to work on projects. If a customer wants you specifically for a task, they can send you an invite, which you can check under the “Invitations” tab.
Customers and clients can refer professionals through the Connector portal.
