Creating a Customer Profile

Geolance is a marketplace made for convenience. Whether you need local professionals for commercial cleaning or contracting purposes or require the expertise of a software developer or graphic designer, the platform is there to offer you access to vetted industry experts.

Begin your search by first setting up a customer profile:

Step 1 – Sign Up

Similar to a professional profile, start by clicking on the “Get Started” button on the top right corner of the homepage. When the dashboard opens up, there will be several prompts you will be required to fill out before you can proceed and post a project.

Enter a valid business email address, your name, and create a password. The website will send a verification email to the address you entered. Check your inbox and click on the link highlighted to sign into your new account.

Step 2 – Entering Basic Information

After logging in, click on “My Profile” and fill out the prompts using the following steps:

• The first and most important step to enter besides your name is your location, which is under your profile photo;

• Upload a profile photo where your face is clearly visible;

• Next, fill out the “About” section in the middle, adding whatever details you find necessary. This section can be personalized to represent who you are and what kind of services you often seek;

If you want, you can add a portfolio and fill out other categories on the right and left corners of the dashboard. However, unlike for professionals, these fields are not mandatory to fill for customers.

Step 3 – Profile Information

Once you have entered your basic information, click on your profile icon on the top left corner of the screen and click on “Settings” to add personal information. Enter your full name, location, and phone number.

Step 1d–Billing Address

Click on the Billing Address tab on the settings menu on the left corner and enter the correct address, time zone, and zip/postal code.

Step 4 –Credit Card information

Since you will be paying for your services through the Geolance, your credit card information is very important. Enter your credit card number, the name the card is issued to, expiry date, security code, and your address.

Step 5 – Notifications

The notification center will allow you to customize your settings and determine what notifications you want to receive from Geolance.

If you want, you can also change your password, which you can access by clicking on “Change Password” on the Settings menu on the left.
