Project Management

Project Management

Once you have posted your projects, this means that you’re now seeking the services of professionals relevant to the content of the project. Now we’ll cover how you can manage all your projects.

Access the Geolance Project Management dashboard from the menu on the left-hand side and click on “Projects”. The prompt that will open up will contain a list of all the projects you have posted under the following categories:

• All – All projects that you have posted as a professional and customer will be shown in this tab;

• Active – Projects you’ve posted that have yet to be assigned to a professional. These projects have 14 days to be assigned before they expire;

• Assigned – Projects that have received applications from professionals that you have accepted;

• Accepted – Projects that you assigned that have been accepted by the professional;

• In Progress – Projects that have been paid for and that the assigned professional has started working on;

• Completed – Projects that the professionals have completed and delivered;

• Canceled – Projects you cancelled;

• Past – Projects that have been completed or that have expired after the 14-day time limit lapsed.

Assigning Projects

Once you post your projects, professionals that provide relevant services can apply. You will receive a Telegram notification when a professional applies. You can check the offer through the “Projects” tab.

Click on the “Offers (Bid)” tab to see how many people have applied. You can check each offer and choose the option that offers excellent services at the lowest rate. Once you’ve decided which offer to accept, click on “Assign & Pay”.

If your project has multiple milestones, professionals can apply for one or more. You can check under the Milestones tab on the horizontal menu. Accept the offer and click on “Fund” to assign it.

Either way, when you fund the task, a payment prompt will open up asking for security information before pushing the payment through. Once that’s done, the project will be officially accepted and assigned.

You can then manage and keep up to date with the progress of your project by clicking on the “Project Management” tab.

Editing Projects

You can also change the details of the project, adding and deleting milestones, etc. by clicking on “Edit Details”.

Cancelation Option

If you want to cancel a project you had posted, click on the red trash can icon on the far right corner, underneath your profile picture. You can then select which projects you want to cancel and then click on the red “Cancel Selected” button to remove them. You can then see them in the Cancelled tab.

Offers

As a customer or client, the offers category will include bids that professionals have made for your project. You can check who applied for the project and then assign the professional as you see fit.

Invitations

The Invitations tab on the left-hand menu will take you to projects that you have invited specific professionals to complete. To send an invite, click on “Projects” on the menu. You will see a green “Invite Professional” button on the right corner of each project. Click on it and fill out the professional’s details to invite them to your project.

Messenger

Under the Workflow category on the left-hand side menu, there is a Messaging Center you can use to chat with professionals and other customers on the platform you invite to your projects. Similarly, professionals can use the messaging platform to talk to their clients.

Project Completion

When the professional has completed a project, you’ll get a notification. To accept the finished work, check the project details from the client’s project management portal. Click on “Milestone” and check your work.

Satisfied, click on “Accept as Completed”; if the payment is still holding out for global projects, you need to confirm it. Click on “Description” and click on “release payment” to complete the project.

You can then check the payment receipt for confirmation. We recommend that you rate the professional for their services as it helps them get leads.
